The training will help you to:

What you will learn

Embrace the differences between a manager and a coach:

  • Understand the role of a coach.
  • Identify the attitudes and behaviours of a manager coach.
  • Understand how the coaching process works.
  • Identify when to be a manager and when to be a manager coach.
  • Understand the “logical levels” of a manager coach.
  • Be an ethical coach, establish limits and respect them.

 

Adopt the attitude of a manager coach

  • Be aware of your attitude as a manager: self-assessment.
  • Have absolute confidence in the capacity of your colleague to evolve.
  • Be aware of your biases, filters and interpretations.
  • Develop an active approach to listening, without judging and without offering advice.

 

Carry out a coaching interview:

  • Apply the GROW process.
  • Be aware of the profiles that GROW works for.
  • Adapt the way you conduct your coaching interviews to the cognitive profile of your coachee.
  • Develop a powerful way of asking questions and rephrasing what you say.
  • Practice exercises for coaching interviews.

 

Support your colleagues through change:

  • Understand the mechanisms that make a human being change.
  • Use tools that boost motivation.
  • Overcome obstacles.
  • Manage setbacks.
  • Establish an encouraging approach to providing feedback or suggesting corrective measures.
