  • Gather information for an objective, constructive appraisal.
  • Prepare for your appraisal (skills, attitude, behaviour).
  • Make sure that your colleagues are well prepared.


Conduct the appraisal effectively in a way that motivates your colleague:

  • Clarify your own and your colleague’s expectations.
  • Encourage a constructive two-way dialogue.
  • Allow concerns to be raised thanks to KID© feedback.
  • Draw up realistic, clearly defined action plans.
  • Try to find win-win solutions.


Improve long-term engagement and performance with ongoing appraisals.


Tackle difficult situations:

  • Negative behaviours.
  • Disagreements.
  • Avoidance etc.
